Note: I don’t aim for any particular protein or macros, I just eat a variety of whole foods and it all adds up! I add in the info to show that vegans can get all the nutrients needed.

Pre workout:
Sweet Potato Pancakes (GF)
Ingredients:
1 flax egg ( 2 tbsp flaxmeal + 1 tbsp water set aside to thicken)
1/2 cup mashed cooked sweet potato (sub for pumpkin)
1 + 1/4 cup almond milk (sub for any plant milk)
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp maple syrup (sub for any vegan syrup)
1 + 1/2 cup buckwheat flour (sub for any flour)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon

– Cook on medium heat in a non stick pan (I use Raco pans)
– Makes 3 big pancakes

Post Workout Meal:
Black Bean Sandwich & Wrap
Ingredients:
Cape seed bread (from bakers delight, full of whole grains and seeds)
Mountain bread wraps
Homemade hummus (will be posting recipe vid soon)
Black beans canned
Lettuce
Tomato
Cucumber
Sweet chilli sauce
Pepper

– Mash beans, make the sandwich/wrap and enjoy!

  12. who do you get so much calcium? whenever I put my daily food intake in cronometer I only reach max 50% of the recommended… I eat mostly whole foods and at least 2000 calories a day, please help
